GUEST REVIEWS from Bairro Alto Hotel's guests
I loved just about everything. The room is beautiful with a sophisticated classic decor, the classic bath makes you want to take a bath that takes hours, there is still plenty of pampering in the room as liquor and chocolates. (we stayed in a suite)
There is a rooftop bar that is open in good weather and has fabulous views over the city, in the cafe there is another bar, more night with good drinks. The restaurant is also quite good, the food is great, with chef and friendly service. There is valet parking the car without having to worry.
In terms of location is perfect for a night out in Bairro Alto.
For a romantic weekend is one of the best places in Lisbon. -February 19, 2013
“Spectacular Hotel & Staff - Loved It”
We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations at this hotel.
Everything from the friendly staff, to stylish rooms, to delicious buffet breakfast were exceptional. And it has a lovely outdoor cocktail lounge on the top of the building which has an extraordinary view of the city.
The hotel is centrally located to many shops, sites and great restaurants. Of the many places we've stayed at throughout the world, this is among our favorite. -October 3, 2013

“Amazing experience, Great Quality and Intimate Customer Service”
Travelled with 4 friends to this hotel and from the moment you cross the door to bidding farewell, you feel like you are part of an exclusive family. The staff provide a truly exceptional service, catering to our every need from booking our seats on the plane, to translating directions to taxi drivers to ensuring we had the right restaurants and social spots to go to. the boutique style hotel is gorgeous with an exceptional 6th floor terrace providing the perfect backdrop of Lisbon while you sip your cocktails or nibble on excellent food. the rooms are small but perfectly functional and have an opulant feeling. The location can't be beaten, where you turn to the right to head towards the shopping areas and walk straight ahead to the vibrant social scene. I can't rave about this hotel or LIsbon enough. The breakfast is fantantic and warranted the additional spend completely. I will def be back! -Dublin, May 18, 2011
“Don't think it could be better”
3 nights at the Hotel Barrio Alto, perfect location between Barrio Alto and Chaido, also very close to Metro and 5 minute walk to Cais do Sodre station.
We stayed in a superior room on the 4th floor, spotlessly clean and comfortable, we didn't hear any noise from the street. We thought the room was a decent size and the shower was really good. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style but with eggs cooked to order too.
The staff are very friendly without being obtrusive and nothing is too much trouble.
We really liked the Barrio Alto area for bars and restaurants, we were out late on Friday and Saturday and felt perfectly safe. Be warned girls, though do wear your "flatties" if you are walking far because of the cobbles and the hills. -March 16, 2015

The restaurant Flores do Bairro, in Lisbon, is located on the ground floor of the Bairro Alto Hotel with spacious Windows looking into Luís de Camões Square and Rua das Flores, right at the heart of the city.
Plenty of options to choose from and dishes to share, in a contemporary and creative kitchen that combines portuguese flavours with french rigor and asian technique by the hands of Chef Bruno Rocha... with a relaxed and casual yet elegant environment; this is what you’ll find at the new Flores do Bairro restaurant.
The decoration is irreverent, traditional, typical from the “bairro”, yet elegant, with a younger, more casual and intimate environment, with the tables placed next to each other and one at the centre of the room for gatherings and for promoting companionship. Colour and a warmer lighting make the space more welcoming.
Fabrics range from leather to flower and herringbone patterns, creating a very contemporary space. The sideboard gives an explosion of colour, welcoming the guests into the restaurant and becoming the decorative centrepiece of the space. The window screens provide privacy without eliminating the view to the outside and suggest a more intimate space. The tableware is traditional and with a hand-made touch, evoking older times. This space will simultaneously transport you into the past and into the present.
Centrally located at Chiado and Bairro Alto – Easy parking
We want to make life easier for our clients so we provide free parking and valet services, both at lunch and at dinner time.
