Hotel Zelos In Center of it All
Good location, staff very friendly. Room was comfortable, bed, linens, and pillows great. Their gym is pretty good for a SF hotel gym. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Didn't eat at restaurant but it looks popular. -slong9, seattle
This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint once again! Clean and comfortable room and friendly staff! Even their bar onsite (dirty habit) has a very nice atmosphere! And their flavored water in the lobby is a nice touch! By far our fav hotel in sf so far.... We can not wait to stay here again! Oh And the valet is super convenient too it’s on site and they are super fast! -Destiny G
Wonderful Anniversary Trip
My husband and I were greeted with a warm and very helpful reception from Michael when we came in late at night. The hotel is in a nice location, convenient for riding the trolley line, BART, buses, etc. We stayed in a luxury suite and had an issue with our tub which the hotel promptly took care of. Their response was way above our satisfaction. We would definitely use this hotel again. -madsend81, Lakewood, California
That’s a good hotel
Hotel has a great location, is really clean and the service is really good. Fitness room is a bit claustrophobic and hot but it’s nice having a fresh orange or an apple always available. -francesco b
#HiddenGem. Very Good Hotel. Might Even Be Great
This hotel is easy to miss unless you know it is there. Even having booked a room and mapped out the location I walked by without realizing it. That may be one of the few things not great about this hidden gem.
Central location, friendly AND HELPFUL staff, nice rooms, comfortable bed, great amenities. How may accolades does it need before you just go ahead and book it??? Close to shopping, Union Square, a mile from AT&T park and about a mile from the Embarcadero. Like I said, central. A mile from Chinatown, a few blocks from Moscone Convention Center and movie theaters, .5 mile or so from the (live) theater district. #centrallylocated.
Didn't have time to try the gym, but it looked more than serviceable for a hotel. Unfortunately my stay did not allow me to try the restaurant or room service but with everything else being so great, I have to assume those amenities are in line with the others.
Don't hesitate. Just book it. -mjrdomo, chaos
Located In San Francisco's Union Square Hotel Zelos is an artistic retreat!
Hotel Zelos San Francisco (formerly the Hotel Palomar) resides in the historic Pacific Building, which opened in 1907. The Pacific Building was originally built as office space, however, the 5th to 9th floors became the Hotel Palomar in 1999. Due to the original layout, our guestrooms are larger than the average hotel room in San Francisco.
This architectural gem sits at the intersection of 4th and Market in the SOMA District. The lower floors are faced with red tile and the upper floors are green tile with white trim, which the architect, Charles Whittlesey, compared to a beautiful lady dressed in a stylish outfit.
We are a contemporary hotel with 202 guestrooms and this allows us to offer a very personal experience. Our location in the SOMA District is also home to a variety of shops, businesses, restaurants, and nightlife, as well as walking distance to Chinatown and Union Square. The Powell Street BART station is just around the corner and the trolley cars are right on Market Street.
